This month the Governor of Vermont, Peter Shumlin, introduced a bill that "proposes to set forth a strategic plan for creating a single-payer and unified health system". Vermont's legislature will soon be voting to revamp it's health care system. Passing this legislation is a victory for everyone who believes health care is a human right. We will hear from federal and state legislators, meet with physicians and other health professionals working toward health care for all, and demonstrate a commitment to legislative action at this critical time.
