This March, as we enter into our 9th year in Iraq, MFSO will be gathering with veterans and allies in DC to take action and lobby congress to bring our troops & tax dollars home. Our goal is to collect 20,000 postcards over the next three months to deliver to Congress and the White House.
Can you help us reach our goal by collecting postcard signatures in your community?
You can order 10 postcards, 500 postcards, or some number in between, for just the cost of shipping and handling. Postcards can be a great organizing tool, a way to talk to people in your community about what is important to you as a military family, and offer them something concrete and immediate to do to support you. You can collect postcards at your holiday parties, local peace and social justice events, your church, or anywhere else where there is a gathering of people.
The text on the back of the postcard reads:
Hundreds of thousands of lives have been ruined,trillions of American tax dollars wasted, and for what? These wars are not making us safer. These funds should be used to take care of the troops when they come home, rebuild our economy, and protect our communities.
