They're suing us?

Stuart --
He's back like a bad penny.
He's back like a bad penny.
Thrice-married Phil Burress and his so-called Citizens for Community Values have fired up their hate machine and are coming after the Freedom to Marry Ohio movement. They've just filed a lawsuit against our organization in the Ohio Supreme Court, and they're making it clear that they'll do whatever it takes to stop signature collection and block efforts to end marriage discrimination by 2013.
Fight back and contribute $8 to the FreedomOhio Grassroots Fund to help stop Phil Burress's cold-hearted attacks.
Burress was behind Ohio’s 2004 marriage ban. Now, he and his tolerance-challenged group desperately want to keep FreedomOhio from collecting signatures to put an end to the ban. They've seen support for the Freedom to Marry effort building, and they're scared. They know that to keep Ohio's marriage ban in place, they must silence your voice and stop the movement.
In fact, they’re so scared, they even dug up a hardline right-wing lawyer from Arizona to construct frivolous obstacles and run up our legal bills. Don't let them get away with their shady attacks:
Click here to contribute just $8 and help send their extremist, right-wing lawyer back to Arizona.
It’s a new day in Ohio, and the response to the Freedom to Marry amendment is growing by the hour -- It's no wonder that Burress and his zealot friends are freaking out.
Help us defend the movement in court and gather signatures across the state in each of our great communities.
Make a generous contribution of just $8 and give all of our citizens the chance to marry the one they love.
It's time to work hard and fight to end marriage discrimination. Join us and be a part of this historic effort.
Together, we can put Phil Burress and his narrow-minded allies in the past where they belong: forgotten and alone like that bad penny that was long ago left behind.
In solidarity,
