Crafting for the Cure Saturday at Sullivan Church of God

October 29, 2014
Admission will be nonperishable good to be used in Gobbler Giveaway
Saturday November 1, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sullivan Church of God will be hosting an event for Relay For Life called Crafting for the Cure. This event will raise funds for the American Cancer Society. There are over 25 vendors coming with a large variety of goods and crafts to sell. This will be a place to pick up that Christmas present. Contact Jeri Davis for more information 273-9456. Admission fee is easy, just bring some of the following: canned corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, gray or yams, or boxed mac and cheese, cornbread mixes, cake mixes and icing, instant potatoes, or stuffing mixes. These items will be boxed up to provide a Thanksgiving meal to 50+ families in the Sullivan area in the churches’ first Gobbler Giveaway.

After Saturday, for the whole month of November, Sullivan Church of God will then be collecting food for the Giveaway. The church will be making up baskets of Thanksgiving food to give to needy families in this area. The goal is to provide over 50 families with all the fixings needed to make their family a thanksgiving feast. Items needed are stuffing mixes, cornbread mixes, cake mixes and icing, instant potatoes, canned green beans, yams, corn, gravy, and cranberry sauce. These items can be dropped off at the church at 321 North West Street.  Businesses and individuals can make  monetary donations as well, which are needed to offset the cost of purchasing turkeys for the baskets.  For more information please contact Pastor Brandon Zoll at the Sullivan Church of God at 728 7855.
